Yoga & Art: An Outdoor Meditation & Creation

June 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Explore and study the beauty of the natural world around you through guided sketchbook work and meditation.

We will begin with a centering led by Carmen Champion of Main Street Yoga and learn a couple breathing techniques to help center and focus. Then Carmen will lead a walking meditation you will use to explore the park and land on your desired location of focus.
Prior to the meditation, Mandy Roeing will discuss various ways to look at nature and translate it to paper. Once everyone has chosen a location to draw, Mandy will walk around offering individualized drawing instruction.

This class is appropriate for all experience levels from beginner to advanced. No yoga experience or yoga mat needed. Come as you are.

We will meet for this class at the pavilion that is between the putt-putt area and the splash pad. The Wood Street entrance to Miller Park is the closest to the parking area near this pavilion.
