My art classes are geared towards adults and serious young artists above the age of 10. Specifics on experience level are listed in each class description.

Pastel Playground Workshop (7/12)
***Must have taken Introduction to Pastel Painting Workshop or have experience with pastels***
Class Description:
The name says it all…come play and explore with this fun and versatile medium!
Maybe you have wondered what it would be like to work on a different surface? Use pastels in tandem with other media? Or maybe you’d like to try incorporating metallic elements or some texture? Personally, I will be trying to make “new” pastel sticks from the dust and chards I’ve collected over the years…it is a fun process! (If you would also like to try this, you are welcome to make a couple of sticks from my materials to take home.)
The possibilities are endless, so bring your curiosity, imagination, and any materials you want to work with! I will have various drawing mediums and tools available, as well as Mod Podge, metallic copper acrylic paint, gold and silver leaf pens, spray bottles of water and alcohol, and materials to make “new” pastel sticks. Gloves In a Bottle, nitrile gloves, paper towels, and tabletop easels will also be provided.
Other Info to Know:
- Feel free to bring snacks and drinks and take break times as needed. You can bring a sack lunch or purchase something from a nearby restaurant if you wish.
- I will not be able to offer refunds in the event you miss class.
