Pastel Playground Workshop (6/14)

***Must have taken Introduction to Pastel Painting Workshop or have experience with pastels***
Class Description:
Pastels are such a fun and versatile medium, and this experimental-style workshop will allow you to explore just how creative you can be with them!
Ever wondered what it would be like to work on a different surface? Use pastels in tandem with other media? Or maybe you’d like to try incorporating metallic elements or some texture? Personally, I have always wanted to try making “new” pastel sticks from the dust and chards I’ve collected over the years…so that is exactly what I will be doing in this class! (If you would also like to try this, you are welcome to make a couple of sticks from my materials to take home.)
The possibilities are endless, so bring your curiosity, imagination, and any materials you want to work with! I will have various drawing mediums and tools available, as well as Mod Podge, metallic copper acrylic paint, gold and silver leaf pens, spray bottles of water and alcohol, and materials to make “new” pastel sticks. Gloves In a Bottle, nitrile gloves, paper towels, and tabletop easels will also be provided.
Other Info to Know:
- Feel free to bring snacks and drinks and take break times as needed. You can bring a sack lunch or purchase something from a nearby restaurant if you wish.
- I will not be able to offer refunds in the event you miss class.
