Painting the Fall Landscape Workshop (11/16)

***Must have taken Introduction to Pastel Painting Workshop or have experience with pastels***
Class Description:
Ah, the colors of fall! This time of year is when the Midwest really shows off its beauty, and many artists feel compelled to capture it!
In this workshop, students will paint a fall landscape of their choosing (It doesn’t need to be a Midwest scene). We will discuss color differences that the autumn season brings to the land and sky, and consider how we can be thoughtful in our underpainting choices to enhance those colors.
Materials:
Assorted soft pastels with a nice range of values — you may bring your own or add the Materials Fee for Pastels when you register.
One 8″ x 10″ or larger piece of your favorite pastel painting surface. If you choose to add the Materials Fee for Paper when you register, an 8″ x 10″ sheet of UArt or PastelMat will be provided.
Please bring your own backing board large enough to hold your painting surface. A drawing board or piece of foam core will work.
Please bring your own reference photos for your painting. If you do not have any fall reference photos, you may choose from mine.
Gloves In a Bottle, nitrile gloves, paper towels, and tabletop easels will be provided.
Other Info to Know:
- Feel free to bring snacks and drinks and take break times as needed. You can bring a sack lunch or purchase something from a nearby restaurant if you wish.
- I will not be able to offer refunds in the event you miss class.
