Gallery Open – Slow Art Day Event!

Need a break from the hectic pace of life? This event is one that welcomes you to take a deep breath, pause, and reflect. On Saturday, April 15, I will be joining with galleries and museums worldwide to participate in the annual event, Slow Art Day. This free event invites you to explore works of art on a deeper level by spending time truly engaging with a piece. You can choose to visit any or all of the 16 local participating galleries where you are encouraged to select a work of art to explore for 5 minutes and then discuss your experience with the piece. This purposeful time of contemplation promises to be an enriching experience, and one that I hope will bring you much enjoyment! All participating Bloomington locations will be open from 10 am – 2 pm, and will then gather at The Hangar Art Co. for a closing reception with complementary small bites and a cash bar provided by Mystic Kitchen! For a list of all participating locations, please visit the Bloomington event listing here.
